Unic Press UK: King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who arrived Moscow Wednesday for talks with Russian president Vladimir Putin, was treated to a Guard of Honour in Moscow as part of the ceremonies marking his official visit to Russia. A monarch of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has never visited Russia prior to Salman visit.
The Saudi monarch, who is visiting at the invitation of the Russian president, would parley with his host to discuss mutual cooperation, inter alia, regional and global stability, business cooperation and humanitarian ties, trade and economic/scientific/technology cooperation.
Crude oil output production is on the table, Saudi Arabia and Russia being the world’s leading producers of crude oil.
“The visit of the Saudi Arabian king [Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud] and his big delegation is considered to be historic, as this is the first visit of the head of the Kingdom to Russia. During the visit, a number of important documents are expected to be signed, which will contribute to the development of our relations,” Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Jubeir said Wednesday at a meeting with Valentina Matvienko, the speaker of the Russian Federation Council, Sputnik reported.
