Nigeria: NNPC Applauded For Stabilizing Petroleum Products Supply

Unic Press UK: Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, has been commended by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) for stabilizing the supply of petroleum products in Nigeria and for embarking on a reduction of the price of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO).

The commendation was made by the NSE president Otis Anyaeji during a courtesy visit to NNPCs group managing director Maikanti Baru.

Anyaeji also “praised the NNPC for the engagement of indigenous Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, Chemical and Processing Firms in its various operations enjoining other Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to emulate the Corporation in the promotion and engagement of local content service providers”, the NNPC group general manager Ndu Ughamadu said in a statement last week.

 

 

While appreciating the visit and encomium showered on the NNPC by the NSE boss, the NNPC group managing director Baru reiterated the commitment of the NNPC to continually ensure efficient supply and distribution of petroleum products. Baru applauded the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) and all other associations in the petroleum industry that have been contributing immensely toward a sustained stabilization of the supply and distribution of petroleum products.
