Bukola Saraki Is Not Guilty – Code Of Conduct Tribunal

Unic Press UK: Senate President Bukola Saraki is not guilty of false declaration of assets, the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) ruled in a judgement that was delivered today, the 14th June 2017.

It was in September 2015 that the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) initiated/filed charges against the Senate president Bukola Saraki.

Saraki was arraigned before the CCT on an 18-count charge by the Nigerian government. He was mainly accused of making false/anticipatory declaration of assets.

The charges against Bukola Saraki had been amended several times by the government. The most recent rejig of the charges was in February 2017, when it was increased to 18-count.

Saraki, who always claimed to have done nothing wrong, entered a no-case submission in May 2017.
