Unic Press UK: In Calabar, Nigeria, a high-tension cable crashed to the ground on Thursday, the 20th April 2017; killed about seven people and injured many who were watching the Europa League quarter-final match between Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht and Manchester United.
Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari said he is “shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic event that took the lives of several Nigerians at a football viewing centre in Calabar, Cross River State”, said a statement by the senior special assistant to the President on media and publicity, Garba Shehu.
Manchester United FC also reacted to the tragic incident.
