Unic Press UK: The acting president of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo on Friday appealed to the people of the oil-rich Niger Delta to eschew violent agitation which is an enemy of development. He spoke in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state, during a town hall meeting with a number of stakeholders.
Osinbajo, who meet the Bayelsa state governor and many community leaders, told the people of Niger Delta and the stakeholders in this oil-rich belt of Nigeria that the Nigerian government remain open to constructive engagement with the leaders of oil-producing communities to foster harmony, end incessant breach of oil facilities and offer a new direction/vision.
